These Rack Mountable 8 channel DVR's come equipped with motion detection, internet accessibility, PTZ control, real-time display, audio recording and more. The Alcatraz ALD-810D DVR's come with a DVD-RW drive built-in that will easily allow you to create backup video of any event, and allow you to play this backup disk on any standard PC with no proprietary software required. A DVD disc has roughly six times the capacity that a regular CD does, allowing you to store more footage on a single disc. Also, the Alcatraz 8 channel ALD-810D DVR has an additional USB port for information backup.
The Alcatraz ALD-810D series has a VGA output that allows you to use any standard computer monitor to view your system. The Alcatraz ALD-810D series also allows you to record audio* for all of your cameras, which is a premium feature on a digital video recorder. This 8 channel DVR features triplex operation, which allows you to do 3 things at once (view live video, burn a DVD, view via the internet).
