The Mace DVR65016 presents a comprehensive and cost-effective solution for managing a multi-camera security operation using an existing Windows based PC. This PCI board easily installs inside the computer, and together with the included software, turns it into a virtual DVR complete with multi-camera viewing, recording, playback and switching capabilities. As with a stand-alone DVR, connecting the PC to a network will allow users to access live and recorded images from a remote location over the Internet.
Anything that can be done from the front panel of a DVR, can be accomplished easier and more efficiently using this PC based system, all with the convenience and familiarity of using a mouse and keyboard. By harnessing the power of an existing PC and monitor to do all the work normally handled by multiple components, there's no need to purchase costly add-on devices like a DVR, monitor or switcher. Furthermore, with fewer components involved, there's also a smaller chance for a single device malfunctioning. Video quality is adjustable from a low of CIF all the way up to full D1 resolution.
