The advent of high-quality, affordable digital video recording is at your fingertips with the Mace DVR112008 GeoVision 8-Channel PCI DVR Card. Designed and built with both CCTV installation pundits and video surveillance operators in mind, it combines unsurpassed clarity and functionality by utilizing Full D1, Half D1, CIF video, 120 FPS recording, 480 FPS real-time display, 8-channel video/audio, and remote access through the Internet. This PCI board easily installs inside the PC, and turns it into a virtual DVR complete with multi-camera viewing, recording, playback and switching capabilities.
Anything that can be done from the front panel of a DVR, can be accomplished easier and more efficiently using this PC based system, all with the convenience and familiarity of using a mouse and keyboard. By harnessing the power of an existing PC and monitor to do all the work normally handled by multiple components, there's no need to purchase costly add-on devices like a DVR, monitor or switcher. Furthermore, with fewer components involved, there's also a smaller chance for a single device malfunctioning. This makes it an excellent choice for use in budget-conscious or space constricted, high-end security applications like retail stores, banks, hotels and parking facilities.

High Resolution & Fast Recording Speeds

Video is captured at a resolution of up to D1 and at frame rates up to 120 FPS (NTSC), and 100 FPS (PAL). This level of image quality provides the sharpness, color depth and most importantly the fluidity of movement required in closely identifying people and objects. This is particularly useful in situations when the subject matter moves quickly in and out of the picture. Banks, retail stores, casinos and numerous other critical security applications will particularly benefit from this enhanced visual performance.

As with high-end DVRs, this board supports a variety of compression formats, resolution levels and frame rates. Motion Detection Based Recording

A motion detection function, fully configurable for area and sensitivity, is available for each camera input. In order to provide a user with a better evaluation of an occurrence, this unit will also record images leading up to and following an alarm event.

Email Alarm Alert to PDA Device

In order to keep users apprised of all important events, this unit can be programmed to transmit Email alarm alerts over the network, which can then be accessed over the Internet using a PC or even a compatible mobile phone or PDA device.

Remote Access Capability

The TCP/IP remote access and powerful Ethernet capabilities make Combo Card reliable for local and remote real-time network surveillance environments. Access through IE browser, from GeoVision remote applications, handheld devices or 3G mobiles allows video playback.
