The Mace SD-636-I is an industrial grade PTZ dome camera suitable for banks, malls, office buildings, government facilities and similar commercial surveillance environments. Its durable PTZ mechanism offers a powerful 36x optical zoom, fast pan and tilt movements and 80 preset positions. There is also a full complement of important supporting features like window blanking, auto rotation and various tour modes. With a powerful Sony 1/4" CCD ExView mechanism, the SD-636-I generates 540 lines of resolution, this camera is able to maintain well defined images in both ideal and less than ideal lighting situations. Furthermore, this camera makes use of a true Day/Night function to ensure dependable security monitoring in a 24-hour surveillance environment. This camera is housed in a durable metal casing, and is designed for indoor installation inside a hard or drop ceiling. Once installed, only the lower dome with its white trim ring will remain visible. This design will help it blend in with its surrounding decor in a general security environment.
Excellent Low Light Performance-A Sony ExView CCD and a Day/Night function work hand-in-hand to ensure that images remain well defined both day and night and in poor and difficult lighting situations. ExView's call to fame is its ability to increase a CCD's sensitivity to light by a factor of two for visible light and a factor of four for infrared wavelengths. Day/Night's mission is to auto switch the camera, via an IR cut filter, from color to a light sensitive black and white mode when light levels fall. High Speed Pan & Tilt Utilizing a keyboard controller or a Mace DVR, an operator can move the camera's pointing direction at speeds up to 180° a second for pan and up to 90° a second for tilt. This degree of motion will allow an operator to quickly follow a suspicious person or object before they have a chance to move out of the camera's range. In preset mode, P/T movements are possible at even faster speeds.
